    Delicious food and excellent service!
    Four of us had a very tasty lunch of sandwiches on soft fresh bread yesterday. One had a steak sandwich with sautéed peppers and mushrooms and talked about how good it was the whole time he was eating it. The pastrami is great too. The owner was fun and generous, very welcoming.
    It was an excellent meal for a reasonable price and a fun experience. My dog agrees. (the owner gave me some yummy bacon for him!)

    Fantastic place. The food is as good as the service which is outstanding. Phenomenal atmosphere. My wife and I throughly enjoyed ourselves and we will be back. Thanks guys!

    Sandwich works  on Ashlan near Fresno St.  I love this place. I only discovered it a few years ago. The front of the restaurant is painted yellow.  The owner and the waitress were super friendly. We felt welcomed and didn't feel rushed. Don the owner came over to our table a few time to make sure we were happy with the food. He even gave my son a free cookie if he ate all his food. Totally a nice guy. The sandwiches were good. I had a veggie sandwich and also ordered the club and blt sandwich, potato salad and chips with one drink was about $30. A little pricy for lunch but now n days eating out isn't cheap. It was worth it to me I like the personalized service you get at the mom and pop type places. I try to support local businesses. It's hard to compete with the big chains.  Next time I'll try breakfast.

    RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!  Totally agree with what the other YELPERS said.

    On top of that (old lady with a bad attitude), I didn't get what I requested.  AND the food wasn't that good.  NOT coming back.

    I bought the turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich. The turkey meat is like Thanksgiving turkey. Fresh and yummy! The workers were nice too. It's one of those hole in the walls places that's worth it! Recommended!
